Holyrood students Kitty Wells and Ben Fenton represent Somerset in sporting success.
Kitty Wells has played football for Somerset for the past 6 years, training weekly with other squad members from schools across Somerset. In her position as Centre-Forward for the U16 team, she has made a fantastic contribution throughout the season, scoring two goals against Hampshire in the South West Counties Final which helped take her team to regional success. The Somerset U16 Girls Footballers are now recognised as ‘Champions of the South West’ and Holyrood is delighted to congratulate Kitty on her part in their achievement.
Ben Fenton was recently selected to represent Somerset in the Developing Player Pathway, held in conjunction with Bath Rugby. Ben was selected from over 100 school players to play in the final 15 at Bath Rugby’s Recreation Ground, so Holyrood is extremely proud that his potential was noticed and wishes him well in his desire to make it to the England squad one day!
Martin Brook, Principal at Holyrood says, “These students are an absolute credit to the Academy and I congratulate them on their personal achievements. Well done!"
