Students from Year 9 at Holyrood have created a fantastic art mural to inspire their fellow students through the exam season. This impressive artwork is displayed at the entrance to the examination hall at Holyrood.
Year 9 students spent time during art lessons brainstorming inspirational ideas, colours and concepts that they could include in their artwork. Over the course of two weeks, these students worked hard to recreate their ideas on a large scale piece which is now displayed on an external wall at the Academy.
Year 13 students pictured here, said the mural is brilliant and a great mood-lifter before sitting exams. They thanked the Year 9s in the picture for their part in producing the mural.
Mrs Brianna Chapple-Hyam, Art Teacher said, “The intention is that every year, Year 9s will produce a new mural, until the whole wall is full of motivational artwork to encourage those taking GCSE, A level and BTEC exams. Students are really proud to see their work on display and hope it will offer support to their friends.”
