The End of a Journey for Year 13

Last week marked the end of the road for Year 13 students who gathered together at Hornsbury Mill to celebrate their time together at Holyrood.

Prior to their exams beginning, the largest cohort ever from Holyrood Academy Sixth Form enjoyed their farewell lunch and presentations before their final exams and subsequent departures for pastures new. Students were awarded with a Tutor Statement to include in their CVs as well as gifts from their tutors. The students also presented Mrs Seib, Head of Sixth Form and Mrs Johnson, Sixth Form Assistant with beautiful gifts as a thank you for all their support.

It was a delightful afternoon, enjoyed by all and providing a lasting memory and time to reflect and celebrate students’ achievements of their time in the sixth form and to wish each other a successful future.

Students are heading off to varied destinations including top universities such as Exeter, Cardiff and Surrey, as well as Art foundation courses, apprenticeships and employment.

Mrs Seib, Head of Sixth Form commented, ‘It was a splendid afternoon and a good time was had by all. All the staff were extremely proud of the students and wish them the very best for their futures.”
