Hannah Miller in the Upper 6th at Holyrood Academy has achieved an Academy first! She has recently been awarded a Level 4 qualification in Managing Food Safety, which is in fact a foundation-level course normally studied post-A levels.
For the last year, Hannah has been guided by Mr Ian Webb, Head of Food Technology at Holyrood, learning about microbiology and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) as well as submitting coursework and undertaking a 4.5 hour examination!
Mr Webb said, “Hannah has worked diligently over the last year and fully deserves her recognition from the Certified Institute of Environmental Health. She has been a pleasure to teach and I wish her well in her future career.”
