Last week, Holyrood's Engineering students spent the day at Leonardo with their Graduate team.
Students were given a tour of the production line and the flight shed (they even saw the EH1O1 that was in Skyfall!). They went on to visit the training facilities, climbing on and into a helicopter to experience how apprentices are trained up. Their highlight was definitely having the opportunity to fly a £2million flight simulator!
Leonardo staff then dedicated the afternoon to supporting the Holyrood sixth formers with presentations from Graduates and apprentices, detailing opportunities within the company and how to fill in application forms effectively.
Mr Rob Janes, Engineering teacher at Holyrood said, "Days like these are invaluable. We are very grateful to Leonardo for offering support and guidance to our students. A great day was had by all and we returned as enthused and motivated prospective engineers!!"
