Don't forget it is a non-uniform day for Holyrood students on Friday 14th February 2020. The Academy is asking for students to make a contribution of £1 to take part in the day, the money raised is donated to our house charities.
The Academy is proud to support our house charities for 2019/20 and all fundraising events throughout the year will raise money for these worthy causes.
Mendip - Young Minds - A national charity that supports child and adolescent mental health.
Brendon - Cystic Fibrosis Trust - A national charity founded in 1964 which supports people with CF and funds medical research.
Blackdown - Jemima Layzell Trust - A local charity which supports young people who suffer from brain injuries and promotes organ donation.
Quantock - Scope - A national disability charity that campaigns to challenge and change negative attitudes about disability.
We would also like to take this opportunity to encourage you to be aware of what your child is planning to wear for the non-uniform day. Whilst students do not have to follow the uniform rules on this day, we retain the right to ask students to change inappropriate clothing. Please talk to your child about their choices to ensure the clothes are suitable for a young person in a school environment.
