Sixth Form Result Day - 2022

Students at Holyrood Academy in Chard are celebrating an excellent set of A Level and Level 3 BTEC results:
Headteacher, Dave MacCormick said: ‘We are delighted with our results this year. Against a backdrop of uncertainty and three disrupted years of education, our Year 13 students have excelled and we are all incredibly proud of them. We are delighted that the vast majority of our students have gained places at their first choice of University, Apprenticeship provider or employer. It is so amazing to see such happy, confident and successful young people leaving our school to pursue such a diverse range of next steps, from Aerospace Engineering to English, and Drama to Childcare. This has been a truly special group of students to work with and we are so very proud of their commitment and tenacity. I would also like to pay tribute to all teachers and school leaders at Holyrood and beyond who have remained focussed upon achieving the best next steps for students - they are a credit to the profession.’
Rob Crocker, Deputy Headteacher, went on to say that “The level of resilience and determination shown by this particular group of students has been really impressive given that this was the first set of public exams taken due to the pandemic leading to the cancellation of their GCSE exams. It’s clear that the hard work of many individuals has led to them being able to move on to a range of exciting destinations.
